  • As a unoffical ice cream expert, Handel's is one of the best ice cream dealers out there. Their ice cream satifies all my cravings. :) The State Rd. Handels is on par with the excellence I come to expect from all Handels. Some other key highlights: 1. Love the seasonal ice cream flavors. I'm pretty biased towards anything pumpkin flavored (as it is my favorite) but Handel's fall ice cream selections are AWESOME. 2. As I've discovered this year, they have "puppy cones". There are two options: 1) the "dogster" ice cream that comes in a plastic cup. The Dogster ice cream comes into two flavors and Misha's favorite is peanut butter. Pretty much insures puppy food coma afterwards. :) 2) the have "baby/puppy cones" that are miniature ice cream cones that work well for babies and puppies. Not as much ice cream for the dog compared to the dogster. Like all ice cream places, Handels does get pretty busy when it's sunny and warm outside, especially around baseball season. Because win or lose Handel's ice cream is always a good idea! :)
