I really wanted to give this place a 3 star review. I have no 3 star reviews! Why not ? Oh well- it just didn't earn it from my 4 experiences.
Here's the thing. First cupcake - vanilla something or other- was basically good. Slightly dryish- good icing.
I returned. Champagne vanilla something or other. Moist. Wonderful icing. Yes!
Then I came back and tried a p-nut butter chocolate something or other. Dry as the Sonora desert. Threw most of it away.
Came back one more time and I actually forget the flavor- but it was fairly dried out- not fresh tasting.
These cakes are too expensive to be so hit-n-miss. More miss than hit! On the last one I didn't even eat the frosting! Just threw it all in trash.
Oh Gigi ... Maybe it's a good thing for my ever expanding waistline that you're inconsistent. Or maybe I should just ask " which ones were baked today". As maybe the issue was simply staleness?
I keep dreaming of that champagne cupcake..... Wishing you were more consistent for $3.50 per cupcake.
Oh, and I agree- the girl at the counter seems to know nothing and care even less. Almost like she's bored to be there. Also true, 2 of the times there were very few cupcakes. What's up with that???
