| - Great location. Walkable from CMU, Pitt, any of the university admin offices, or RAND. Of course, such a location comes with a price as it can get very busy during lunch time. In the nice weather, people line up out the door.
Great atmosphere. I love the garage doors that open to the outside in the nice weather. The decor is new and modern. The business is still new, but they're keeping it very clear. I'm guessing they will continue to do so because the Forbes store is also clean.
Good food. The Bagel Factory franchise has always produced my favorite bagels in Pittsburgh so I'm not surprised that this location delivers the goods. Buyer BEWARE: The bagel selection is trimmed down. Sadly, no salt or pumpernickel, which favorites of my husband's and mine. I had an omelet today, and it was good too. With a bagel and hash browns on the side, however, it's just too much food. I'd stick to a bagel sandwich, I think. It's plenty. In fact, two people around me with omelets didn't finish their meals either--they looked full too.
A little pricey. The omelet price on the board ($5.99) is filling free. Who has an omelet without any fillings? So then everything you put into it adds an additional change. My final item ended up well into $8s. Don't expect Pamela's prices here! I didn't even have a drink. (I'm kinda thirsty right now.)
With a very small kitchen, they can take a little time to get your order ready so if you're ordering hot food, be prepared to wait a little while.
Also, you can "appropriate" wireless from Starbucks across the street. (But you didn't hear that from me.)
