  • It's a shame that Starbucks recently set up shop in the same parking lot as Gold Bar, as I fear this may hurt their business. Gold Bar is a hidden little gem and is the perfect place to meet friends and spend time together. Friendly staff and quaint decor. The seating area winds around the side of the cafe to reveal cozy little pockets for privacy, sunny spaces to work, or a nook in the back for gatherings, boasting a large board game collection. I'm a Matcha girl and the Matcha was a bit too sweet for me, but I will know for next time to tweak my order. The hot Matcha tea reminded me of green tea with birthday cake flavoring. Crazy I know! I have bought Matcha tea instant packets from the grocery store that have tasted similar so maybe this is what they use. The espresso and coffee drinks themselves are great. I know many people that go to Gold Bar and nowhere else. If you're looking for that perfect little atmosphere to get work done while enjoying a peaceful cup of coffee, give them a try.
