I got my hair & make up done for my cousins wedding and I can only seem to say nice things about Amrit.
Amrit did my makeup for both days and I loved that she listened when I wanted to keep everything natural.
The frustrating part about the whole experience were the ridiculous extra charges they were offering. We were already paying extra to have them open early for us but then they decided to charge $15 per dupatta setting. My mom draped a dupatta better than what they did; I was expecting my dupatta to be pinned to my head the entire time. Nope, It slid off and ruined my hair in the process.
Other extra charges? Glitter anything was an extra $10. Cream contouring was another $10. Excuse me? I thought contouring was a part of full face makeup.
Speaking of hair, my hair strands fell out of my bun before we reached the venue. Chandni did my hair and she couldn't seem to quite get the look I was going for. Everyone mentioned that they could mimic pictures you show them... but not Chandni. Her go-to look seems to be the slicked back type. I had to ask her several times to loosen my hair and give it more a relaxed look. The end result was hideous but clearly nothing could be done by it.
The following day we came back to get our hair & makeup done for the reception. I definitely did NOT want my hair done by this place but I felt forced to because we were bound by a contract. Even after mentioning to the owner that my hair fell out within an hour, she just apologized and mentioned she'd speak to Chandni later. I got nothing out of it. I couldn't even get some glitter in the inner corners of my eyes as an apology; It was a $5 to $10 charge. HA!
I've had my hair & makeup done before and I think there are so many other places to check before this one. And in case you don't have any other option, go to Amrit!
