| - In a nutshell: come in, grab a beer, and enjoy the company!
The new location, located in a bit of a commercial/shady neighborhood, is actually really convenient for almost anyone in town because it is central. And once on site, there wasn't any riffraff to make you uncomfortable.
Seating: There is bar seating and table seating indoor and outdoors. It's a bit limited, so I imagine people standing around chatting with their drink in hand on a busy night. It's ok, as this is a bar :-)
The ambience: they don't serve food, no gaming, no indoor smoking (bonus!). But you can order food from one of the food trucks that frequently park outside (they have a calendar posted on their website saying which truck and when) or order something be to delivered. There's outdoor seating with ashtrays for the smokers. They offer bar games such as shuffle board, golden tee, and Cornhole for your enjoyment. It's well lit and has a welcoming/lets hang vibe that you would want/expect from a bar serving only craft beer.
Service: there's a bartender to pour you a glass, but you have to go to the bar and put in your order. There was one bartender on the day we went, and he was quite helpful in offering choices for our tastes.
The beer: of course the most important part. I like their brews. I tried the local 702, which has a bit too much of a hoppy taste for my pallete, but not bad. The lager, which is my goto type of beer on any occasion and my favorite at this bar. The peanut butter brew, which is dark, very smooth, and delicious. Definitely worth a try, even if you're not into dark beers (I'm not), as it is really good. And finally the hop ride, which my hubby liked the best, and as promised has lots of hops.
