  • More like "Not-So-Fantastic Sams". I'm kicking myself for not checking the reviews before coming here! I wanted to go somewhere a bit better than Great Clips, but still affordable (I'm poor). I remembered my friends talking about Fantastic Sams in the past, so I looked up and found one in the area. NEVER again! #1 - This woman didn't even know how to brush long hair! She was tangling it all up even more til the other stylist showed her to start brushing toward the bottom and work her way up... FAIL. (This is when I should have had the courage to just run!) #2- I asked for a simple long layer hair trim (to cut my dead ends). However, when I was getting it done, she wasn't cutting it how I've normally seen stylists do it (I get this style regularly). She seemed to be carelessly cutting away. Which made me super nervous. #3- After I paid, she immediately threw away my receipt without asking if I need it, which I DID... I told her I needed a receipt for my records, and she dug in the trash a bit and said she couldn't find it and said she wasn't able to reprint one either... Wonderful.... #4- Looking at my hair at home, it looked a little choppy, but I figured I would either need to let it dry or wash my hair once to see what it would really look like. Waited for it to dry... Choppy. Washed my hair and dried it, still choppy. I was going to go back the next day and ask them to fix it, but then I happened upon the reviews and was like oh... That wasn't on accident? They just don't care at all or are just not capable? Okay. :( What is hilarious is that I ended up going to GREAT CLIPS and they did a BETTER JOB and fixed it. I think management really needs to evaluate that place and get people who are actually capable of doing the job right and could at least care about what they are doing. Or else this place is beyond doomed. And seeing how there was only one other customer that came in the entire time I was there, it's already happening. Note: This was done about a year ago. I thought I had posted, but it was in "drafts".
