| - I first saw Grace when my Family Doctor was convinced that I must have lupus or rheumatoid arthritis. Medical tests, however, turned up nothing wrong with me. Despite the clean bill of health given by Western medicine, I was very run down from overwork, and I felt terrible. Having learned about Grace from a colleague, I decided to see if she could help me.
When I saw Grace she diagnosed me with a severe case of Essence and Blood Deficiency, which is pretty severe and scary in traditional Chinese medicine terms (I have had TCM when I have lived in China during the past 30 years, so I knew enough to understand the implications of her diagnosis; this condition, in its severest forms, can be the precursor to diseases like like cancer and heart disease). Grace was very honest with me about the severity of my condition from a TCM point of view, and was also very honest about her concerns about treating me -- she thought it would take about three months to treat IF she could reverse the condition, which was very far advanced by that time. Grace also encouraged me to continue to follow up with my Family Doctor so that my health would be closely monitored.
Grace is a great acupuncturist, and I made a full recovery in one month of treatment with acupuncture, 2-3 times per week, and herbal medicine every day. I have seen her for various issues in the years since I first saw her when I was in such miserable shape. She sees a lot of patients for fertility, but she has been expert at whatever I have needed -- stress, insomnia, back problems. She also gives great advice on wellness from a TCM perspective, especially what foods to eat to complement her treatment.
Having had access to the very best of senior, experienced TCM practitioners in China's very best TCM hospitals, I know from both the feeling of her acupuncture and its results that Grace is as good as the very best in China. Grace has kept me in excellent health, and I am very grateful to her!
