My husband and I have been customers of century link since 1992. I am immensely upset at recent developments. We fell behind in bills and we're making arrangements to pay. We had a payment arrangement with Century Link and we're doing well. I came home today discover that everything had been disconnected for "non-payment". I immediately called Century Link and was floored at the lack of customer service. Though they claimed that they saw an arrangement and payment on March 27, they claimed that they saw no payment arrangements for the remainder of the payment one week later. In an almost extortion-like move, they claimed that, unless I paid up, I would remain disconnected.
I clarified, asking specifically if they refused to acknowledge and stand by the payment arrangement that had been made. The service representative, Monique and her supervisor of Stacy, both stated that unless I made a payment that my services would remain disconnected, despite the payment arrangement. Given that I had to get grades in today, I had no choice but to give in to the extortion.
Don't trust this company. Obviously they are not able to keep their word. Needless to say, we are looking for replacement even though we have been with them for so very long.
