| - I think I'm being hard on this resort, however, we are paying top dollar and would expect to get what we pay for...
One thing I can really appreciate about this place- how clean the rooms are as well as the grounds. It's 35 acres and it's gorgeous. I loved walking around at night with our pup and seeing the bunnies
What I didn't like, the food. We ate two big meals at the restaurant and while they were both really expensive, it was really disappointing. I live in vegas and I'm also in the hospitality industry so I can be harsh, but I also have sympathy. The food was terrible. When you're charged $4 for a bagel and it's a mini bagel, there is nothing to do but laugh. The frittata, really dry and the potatoes tasted like they were cooked in a plastic bag
But you know who was amazing? Frank. The host at Prado was hilarious and welcoming and very sweet. He made us feel like he was at home. Thanks, Frank! The valet guys were all great too- they were sweating (it was so hot) and still smiling. They also had ice cold water bottles for us and that, I can really appreciate! Thank you, Guys!
Also.. don't order room service. Just don't do it. We asked for a BLT - they didn't have so they substituted the club for it and gave us one small piece of bacon. Wasn't good- not worth it! Plus, there is a 22% service charge and $5 delivery fee. Read the fine print! We actually tipped on it- found out later. Just kind of annoying, ya know?
Although this hotel was beautiful, I would try another hotel before we try this one again.
