we came here after watching the fireworks on the forth of july because it was recommended as having great cheap burgers and live jazz.
both of these statements are true.
in addition to burgers we shared nachos and had two beers each, if memory serves it was two light beers and two ipa type beers. the burgers and nachos were delicious and the jazz was so wonderful.
everything was great...until we got the bill. the bartender told us $50. FIFTY BUCKS! we didn't get a paper bill, just a verbal one. and it was fifty bucks.
according to my rounded calculations, the burgers were six bucks and nachos nine. so that comes to $21. so i guess it's $29 for four beers, two being a generic light beer. so about $7 a beer. a little steep in my opinion. i'm sure there were taxes as well but it still seems steep for the beers.
i really enjoyed the burger and nachos and loved the jazz. but the beers were a little steep. and not getting a paper bill was also off putting.
i will probably go again for the food and music, and perhaps pass on the beer.
