| - I worked here so I can tell you exactly what goes on here. The owner, cut all of the house keepers hours and already this place doesn't pay you enough for the amount of work you have to do in a day. When we all told the administrators that we can't live with a pay cut, they told us to get over it and it's what's best for the company when in reality, the owner just wants to line her pockets. I wouldn't want my parents being taken care of by severely underpaid staff! You get the kind of care you pay for and she is getting away with murder with how little they pay aides. charging the families as much as she does and then not paying any of the staff enough for how much hard work they put in. They don't even give the staff sick days! This place is a joke. As a housekeeper, I got to hear about it whenever a family member wasn't happy with how their residents room was cleaned, and it was always so frustrating because 95% of the time it's because I already cleaned that room, but an aide went in behind me and had to change the resident, and left dirty diapers ON THE FLOOR or in the open garbage cans next to their bed! It was disgusting. And it didn't matter how much I complained, that issue never was taken care of. After breakfast, lunch and dinner, the residents are supposed to be taken back to their rooms, but a lot of times they will be left in the dining room, begging to be taken back. And I wouldn't want my mother or father being taken care of by someone who wasn't trained to be an stna, but they have a "it's everybody's job" policy, so the house keepers and dietary staff would have to push the residents around or even adjust them in their chair. The residents are sad, they are there all of the time, they don't have programs that take them out places. And they keep the residents that are mentally unstable around the ones that are completely normal, so it makes the normal ones feel like they are living in a mad house, a lot of times they will pair a resident in a room with another resident who screams A LOT until that resident asks to be moved because they can't take it anymore. The administrators are way to busy focusing on keeping up appearances and not focusing enough on whether or not the residents needs are actually taken care of. Most of the aides do their best but the ones that are borderline abusive don't get fired because the company is understaffed. Drama is also an issue here, everybody talks about each other or about the residents, which is disrespectful. Most of the nurses are nice but the higher up ones treat you like garbage. And it's even worse because their sisters, cousins or kids work there as aides or unit assistants and they never get in trouble for anything they do wrong. They claim that this is a 5 star facility but that's just because they are good at hiding things that happen from state. This place doesn't value its employees or its residents. If you don't believe me go take a look around there yourself, you will see the warning signs. Or save yourself your time that they don't value and look elsewhere.
