This ATV tour was probably the most memorable thing my group did in our trip to Las Vegas. I made the reservation by phone a month before I got there. A driver came to pick us up from our hotel in a van with another group, and in about 45 minutes we arrived at the ATV site.
There we handed the driver the cash due (you can also pay by credit card on the phone) and got ready to ride. They have helmets, gloves, and goggles ready for you and trust me all three are very much needed. All three guides were friendly and really patient with us throughout the entire tour since we were first time ATV drivers.
The entire tour was about 3 hours long and the terrain can be flat, rocky, and have mini hills. The guides will use hand signals if slowing down is necessary (i.e. rocky areas). The rest of the time, you can go as fast as you like but don't forget to check out the scenery! They give you plenty of time to take pictures. Oh yeah and the lunch which was provided was good. A simple sandwich, chips, coleslaw, and chocolate chip cookie. You can have as much bottled water as you need from the guides.
I recommend this tour but it's probably not for all families, as there's an age requirement (I think 16) and your hands will KILL after about 10 minutes of driving. One of the mothers from another group gave up in the first 15 minutes and rode with the one of the guides for the rest of the tour. I was initially worried about this being dangerous but it was thrilling and safe! We got used to our ATV's quickly and on the ride back we were driving at max speed. Just drive at a comfortable speed and be aggressive with it as they are heavy mobiles.
This was a great experience so I wanted to write a detailed review. I'm glad I went with them!
