  • This is a 4 star thing to see on the Strip in Las Vegas. You know what I'm going to give it 5 Stars. You want to know why? Because it's about the one of things left that's free in Las Vegas and it's pretty kool. This and the Bellagio Fountains. Oh that's right the Bellagio Fountains are a 5 star thing to see. This isn't as kool as the Belliago Fountains so I have go back to 4 stars. Both are MGM Properties. It's located at the Mirage on the Las Vegas Strip. Another thing that was free up until 10 years ago was the Sirens at Treasure Island also owned by MGM. They did away with it because they got greedy. It was free too. I miss it. I hope the Mirage Volcano and the Belliago Fountains don't go away. Circus Circus had pretty cool Fountains too but there gone another MGM owned place. Hey MGM, leave the Mirage Volcano and the Belliago Fountains alone. The Volcano goes off at 7pm and 8pm nightly and on Friday and Saturday it goes at 9pm as well. It doesn't erupt as much as it use to though. It closed in February 2008 until December 2008 for a renovation. The eruption is a lot more spectacular. I dug up some of my older pictures of the pre renovation and the newer eruption so you can see the difference. I do like to come here have a beer and watch the thing erupt and feel the heat from the flames. I try to do it every time I visit Vegas so, seen it a lot!!! You better come see it just in case it goes the way of the Treasure Island Sirens.
