| - We really enjoyed our vegan-friendly hotpot.
We have never done the hotpot/shabu-shabu thing, so it was a new experience from a-z, but we will definitely be doing it again.
VEGAN SURVIVAL GUIDE:
- Try to block out the name of this place from your mind.
- Get a table in the back away from the live seafood butchering area.
- Ask for a two broth combo: half Tomato broth, half Mushroom broth. These are completely vegan.
- Get a veggie basket, a mushroom basket, some tofu (soft or fried) or tofu skins.
- We tried the green tea noodles & they were bomb. A+
- At the sauce station, stick to a mix of soy sauce, green onions, and garlic. Optionally, add chile. Dunno if other sauces were veg.
- Since you are preparing your own food from baskets, you can control a lot & rid your mind of the dreaded meat cross contamination worries.
- Get the hot jasmine green tea.
It comes in an adorable serving pot. Sooo warming.
All in all, it was a fun, yummy, toasty way to spend an evening.
