| - Order a double Americano here, and expect a strong and rich Americano... just the way I like it (none of these wimpy, watery cups of well... water and weak shots.).
Par usual for the Distillery District, just like next door (http://www.yelp.ca/biz/corktown-designs-jewellery-gallery-toronto) the venue is awesomely old. What sets this place apart is: a) windows and natural lighting galore - thanks to its location on the corner, b) balcony setting - perfect for people peeping and barista action and...
sanitation!
Word of warning: Stick to non-steamed milk/soy(?) beverages. I saw, while ordering, the tell-tale, ashy crust on the wand. From the balcony, I watched as it continued to be used and not cleaned. During a stint as a barista, I learned to be ultra conscientious about cleaning the wand, as crust appears even after not cleaning it within moments of steaming milk. Further, if you don't clear the creamy white stuff, it eventually builds crusties that clog it with... use your imagination.
Like I said, get an excellent Americano and enjoy the view!
