| - Earth Fare and I are pretty good friends. Not a best friend who I'd want to hang out with every weekend, especially when she brings all of her annoying OTHER friends to hang out, who enjoy blocking the aisle and chatting while I'm trying to shop. But I enjoy Earth Fare's company.
One of the reasons is because I can get stuff here that I can't get elsewhere. Until the Whole Foods opens in Rocky River, this is the closest "specialty health foods" store around. I don't mean to say I shop this way often. I'm at Giant Eagle like five times a week. But when I need to get, say, coconut butter or actual whole fat greek yogurt in little containers, I'll head to Earth Fare. Plus, I'm sure that I'll need some kind of vitamin supplement or essential oil in the next year or two that I can find there without any problem.
The other reason I like it is because they have a bunch of other cool things going on. They have a nice seating area to eat in, and they have a "Kids eat free" day (Thursdays, from 4-8) when parents spend a measly 5 bucks on anything. They also have really good prepared food and a bunch of healthy kids' choices, so I have no problem bringing the kids here once a month or so and spending $5 on a meal for three. They also have this thing where you can bring in all your extra Halloween candy (you know, three out of the five pounds your kids brought home trick or treating) and they give you some healthy treats like gummies or "real fruit" lollipops in exchange for all of it.
Last perk: SMOOTHIES. You know how I love my smoothies.
