  • My boyfriend and I love it here; it's one of our go-to date places! The first time we went, we both got "Build Your Own Hamburgers," and shared sides of French fries and fried mushrooms. The burgers are pretty big, but really good, so it makes sense that it's what they're famous for. The sides were good, but it's worth noting that they aren't served with your burger or sandwich so you have to order them separately. The second time I went I was with a couple girlfriends and I ordered the grilled cheese with deep fried pickles. In theory, the idea of that sounded amazing, but they also added a thick layer of some kind of tarter sauce which I wasn't expecting and wasn't a fan of. (Nothing against their tarter sauce, I just don't like it in general.) Luckily, I had also ordered a chocolate malt which was so incredible and totally saved the experience! The third visit and all subsequent visits have been with my boyfriend. It was during the third visit that I tried the Deep Fried Cod Sandwich, and I have never turned back. It's so simple, but so delicious: just a piece of fried cod with lettuce and tomato on a light, fluffy bun. (I think it also comes with tarter sauce, but I ask them to leave that off.) My boyfriend continues to build his own burgers and we order a variety of sides to share, but usually the fries or cheese curds. (Or both!) And I usually try to find a way to justify getting their chocolate malt because it's just so amazing! I don't think I've had a better one anywhere else!
