We just had our second baby. First was a preemie born over four years ago, didn't latch right away and when she did we had no issues whatsoever. I hoped for the same nursing experience with this second baby, who was born near full term at 38 weeks. She did latch on right away but I had sore and cracked nipples from the start. Three days in, I found Amey on the LCA website via kellymom.com. It was my first time to consult with an LC. She was very prompt in responding to my initial text message and we were able to set up an appointment right away. She diagnosed my baby with a lip and tongue tie and provided referrals to the area specialists. She also advised me how to use a silicone pump that she saw on my kitchen counter and because of that I was able to save over 100 oz of breast milk so far (baby is just over two weeks old); otherwise, that pump would've just been sitting there (I didn't really know how to use it at first) and would've still been using an electric pump and probably wouldn't have saved as much milk as I have now. Overall, really happy with her consult - she exhibited expertise and a caring attitude and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to any mom needing help :)
