  • Recently I needed an appliance repair company to fix or look at a nine year old Samsung refrigerator that had stopped cooling, and the ice maker also quite. I love Yelp for searching out good companies with a lot of reviewers. I called "Elite Appliance Repair" based on their reviews and 5 star rating. They came when they said they would and were on time. Anthony was our technician. He was a delightful young gentleman, clean, respectful and wore a company shirt identifying him as an Elite employee. He looked at the unit and felt it was as simply as re-setting some controls that I must have set wrong. He stated that it may take 24 hours to cool down properly and he would check back. Since that was not the problem, he felt it could be the circuit board and had already had one on standby for the next day so I wouldn't have to wait. It was not the circuit board. He requested the assistance of two other technicians as they stated they had not seen this particular problem. The other two technicians were Mike and Steve, the owner of the business. It happens that these three are brothers. All were very knowledgeable and well trained. After they put their three heads together (3 for the price of 1 and not very expensive at that), they determined that it was some sort of leak that ultimately would cost about $800 and only had a 50% chance. My wife and I decided that we didn't want to spend $800, and the price of a new icemaker on a machine that was 9 years old. Everybody we talked to stated, not to buy an Lg or Samsung refrigerator again. Parts take weeks as they are ordered from Korea and very poor service from Samsung. We even wrote a letter to the president of Samsung with absolutely "NO" reply. I was highly impressed with the service, kindness and knowledge of the staff. I had been quoted about $400 for the icemaker alone and Elite was only going to charge me $129.00 . It cost me a very little amount to find out that I needed a new refrigerator and I found an excellent Appliance Repair Service for future use. Thank you guys from Elite. By the way I am enjoying our new 28 cubic inch Ge Profile refrigerator (Made in America) that I bought at Spencer's in Glendale, Az. (Another good Company) P.S. Mention "Yelp" to Elite and get 10% off. Bob Eppinger Glendale, Az
