Very disappointing. I entered the building through the service drive side, looking for someone to advise me. I had dropped my key fob, and the blade the keeps the key in place on a ring was gone. There was a man on a computer behind the desk, and a man typing on his phone in front of the desk. Neither of them acknowledged my existence for 3 to 4 minutes. The guy on the phone left the area with not even any eye contact, just walked right past me. Eventually another guy came in the area and asked if he could help. I explained my problem and showed him the issue. He took it to a service adviser and promptly returned to tell me it was "the blade" and if I were to go to the parts department they could help. He pointed down the hallway. I followed the hallway around to the show room, but did not see the parts department. I wandered the show room for 5 minutes and didn't see a soul. Finally I went outside and asked a couple guys that were out there where the parts department was. They politely directed me. When I got to the counter no one was there. I peeked through the window to the back. Saw no one. About a minute later a guy bustled out, looked at me and said someone would be out in a minute. Then he left. Another guy come out shortly and asked what I needed. I showed him the issue. He says "well you have to prove its your vehicle and provide VIN number, and we'll order a new fob."
It can't be fixed I inquired ? No, you need a new one. He was fairly abrupt.
I had expected a much better service experience in a Mercedes Benz dealership. Isn't that part of what we pay for ??
