| - I had to go on the most windiest day...I was seriously about to cancel because I heard about the bad winds, gusting over 60 mph, and I didn't believe it would be a good idea being on a boat in those winds. I was actually waiting for them to call us and a say they couldn't work in such bad weather. lol
I was already on edge because of the weather and hope the wonderful beauty of the water and mountains will take the tension away. I needed out of Vegas so bad because the city life you get tired of. I wished to go somewhere quiet and relaxing.
On the water, it was a little chilly because of the winds, but I remained on the deck until I got cold and went back inside. The speaker continues to play this man talking about the history of the lake, and I don't think one person was listening. I rather hear music. Everyone was eating but me because the prices sucked, and I didn't really trust boat food. I just rather ate after the ride. So they did finally play music and I couldn't believe the song that came on. Limp Bizkit - Nookie LOL! I like the band so I am not hating but I couldn't believe they played that on a cruise boat like this. I am happy it was music I like though :)
So once the journey was over a good group of us proceeded onto the deck as they were ready to port. The boat began getting closer to other anchored boats and there was an older gentleman who was an employee and that had a radio in his hand to talk to the captain. He screamed "Get back, get back!" to all of us that were on the deck. The wind was pushing us closer to the boats, and that's when I went back inside.
This man had me in a panic. Very bad to have your customers nervous and worried! He could have handled that a lot better.
So now inside, I watched outside the window the boat getting further away from the docking base. The captain had to try again. We couldn't even dock because of the winds. I knew I should have done this on a different day.
After 10 minutes he turned around, and we started going back. I just sat at the table and observed the guests start to ask questions to the employees. The older gentleman came in and was pretty much pacing the floor and communicating on his radio. Not being quiet at all about the situation.
The music that was on turned off, and it got quiet in the boat. That made me even more nervous because all I was listening to was the gentleman and his radio. The woman employee who was inside with us and talking to the guests was very professional and didn't scare anyone. She was explaining what the captain was doing and trying to relax everyone.
Finally we docked and I couldn't wait to get off this boat. I will never do this on a windy day EVER AGAIN.
