This is the place you'd bring someone named "Aunt Maude" or "Cousin Gertrude." I swear this is my lasting thought upon departing this venue. After hearing it mentioned as a good lunch option by a handful of people, I went for a quick bite with some coworkers today.
The service was friendly, albeit a bit slow. I had eaten through my entire bag of chips before my sandwich was ready. The Duckling was my choice - turkey, smoked duck, cream cheese, cranberry bread. Including drink it was nearly $12. Bit steep for a deli-type experience.
The sandwich was just ok, and that is not really ok for $9. The duck wasn't very tasty and its weak flavor kinda got overwhelmed by the cranberry and cream cheese. Perhaps this is wasn't odd, I don't know: I'm simply used to the tasty assertion of roasted or Peking-style duck. Possibly a faulty comparison, but that's what I was looking forward to.
I'd like to possibly try some other sandwiches, but I won't be in any hurry to return.
