| - I'm giving this place 5 stars not because the food was like, the best (it was 4 star), but because it blew my expectations away.
My girlfriend and I came to stay at this hotel for her high school reunion, and decided we should eat beforehand. It was 122 degrees outside and my skin was catching fire, so we ran in to the hotel restaurant for a bite before I expired.
Service was super friendly, place was clean and well-organized, and the booths were comfy and classy. I ordered the macho tacos and asked "How macho are they?" and the server said "Pretty macho' and hell yeah he was right. Two large flour tortillas with cabbage, pico de gallo, some sauce, and sides of salsa, sour cream, and guacamole. I got one with pork and one with fish. The pork was pretty decent, but holy crap the fish taco was delicious. Breaded perfectly, a large, tasty portion - I was blown away at how good it was.
My girlfriend got some turkey, bacon, and bleu cheese salad that she was raving about all day. It was a gigantic portion, too.
When I first looked at the menu, I thought the prices were fairly average, but with the quantity and quality of food in this place, it's a definite hidden gem. I would absolutely eat here if I lived in the area and not even stay at the hotel. Definitely not what we expected from a hotel restaurant. I was really impressed.
