  • I want to give this place a 4.5 stars! It is almost "as good as it gets" Barrelhouse fills a much needed gap in the Chandler area: hipster style of New American food that currently is mostly in Scottsdale. The food is good and the service is good. I am not so sure about some of the bad reviews, but I have luckily not been in touch with the bad service. Cocktails is what I really like about this spot. Have a favorite liquor? Go ahead and order that and ask the bartender to craft something out of it. You won't get something silly like a Jack and Coke, but rather something a little more flavored and sophisticated. The food is not too shabby for a unique place in Chandler. I won't mention any of the food choices in particular since none of them truly stood out, but all the people I went with were reasonably happy with their choices, just not impressed. I would recommend this place solely on not being all the way in Scottsdale and the cocktails. I am not so sure about the food quite yet, but maybe in the future I may be surprised.
