My husband is a big Buca Di Beppo fan and sometimes it's just too much for me. There is too much noise, very cheesy design and honestly as one who cooks at home, I have a hard time justifying the prices. I wanted him to be able to have that experience but on a more intimate, low key and mature level. So I chose Casa Di Amore. Just like most people I looked all over yelp for photos, menu prices and ambiance. This restaurant had a great selection of food at a more reasonable price with a more romantic atmosphere. It's dim lit and has large booths, which is always a plus and live music. I am a total sucker for live music at any capacity really.
I ordered the Penne & Greens and my husband ordered the Baked Mostaccioli. We shared a side of Garlic Bread because why not?! Both dishes were very tasty and quite large for the price which averaged $20-$23 a plate. Still a bit expensive considering I can make pasta at home for under $10, BUT we're paying for an experience.
Our waiter was very kind and attentive. There was not a long wait to be seated or to receive our food. Was it the best Italian food I have ever had? No, but it was still really good and the experience was very pleasant. I will definitely come back and as a side note they did have a few other vegetarian dishes on the menu which I am looking forward to eating in the future.
