  • Organized chaos is what the kitchen looks like as you squeeze into this local spot. But oh my! The goodness that comes out of that open kitchen is amazing. Be prepared, there is always a line but it moves quickly. The menu is pretty basic, different combos of chicken (1/4 dark, 1/4 light, wings) with standard sides of slaw, fries and hush puppies. It's seasoned so perfectly that I often wait for my late grandmother to emerge from the kitchen and say "Hi"! I have had the fish sandwich, too, which is very tasty. But the chicken is a must! Take a drink with you if you don't like really sweet sweet tea. And be prepared to eat either in your vehicle or on a curb nearby as there's no seating inside. You'll see people strolling the streets eating from their boxes because they can't wait to sit down to indulge. If you come to Charlotte, make sure you check out this awesome local favorite.
