  • **UPDATE** I have lived at Alta Midtown since September 2017. My experience was pretty pleasant at first. Everything has gone down hill since then; Now that they are almost to full occupancy. The grounds are very unkept. I have had to complain about the hallways and stairwells being dirty a couple times before anything was done to them. It was well over a month before our hallway was cleaned (after I had complained) as there was dried up droppings everywhere. I was told management walks the ground a couple times a week, Id think not. The only building they care to keep clean is the main building where everyone comes to tour: its ALWAYS spotless. The parking is an absolute mess. Due to this, they now have a towing company that comes in to tow out vehicles that do not have permits on them. I sit out on my patio when its cooler at night only to see several people throughout the evening drive around aimlessly for a spot to come available. I rent TWO garages from them and use them how I am supposed to per our lease agreement. A garage is to park vehicles in, not for storage. They've sent out emails regarding this that they were enforcing this rule and I have not yet experienced them doing so. I still see peoples garages full of junk and not utilizing the space as they should per lease agreement. Put me in charge and id be sure to have everyone follow agreements as their lease states, along with taking care of my grounds. I am in healthcare management and it isn't has hard as you think. Life has been very hectic lately and things have spiraled out of control, so I paid my rent a day late. I paid the late fees associate with that because it was my fault and I totally spaced on this. The following day, they put a notice in my door about late rent with an EXTRA $25.58 associated with that sheet of paper. Now, this is a bit ridiculous as I have never experienced this with them and have always been good with my rent. They sure don't mind not following the lease agreement regarding other things, but when it comes to something they can charge you for you better pay up! My 60 day notice will be sent in this afternoon. We have signed our new lease with The Carter in Old Town Scottsdale. Bye Alta.
