When you're waiting at the airport for 5 extra hours for a flight, you post up at a place that serves good food and some caesars. At least that's what I did when I was at the Calgary airport last week.
Molson Brewhouse was located right next to my gate, which was perfect. I posted up at a corner table right next to the large windows so I could get a good view of the tarmac. I find something relaxing about watching planes take-off and land. There was plenty of seating in the restaurant itself -- lots of high top tables, lower tables next to the window, and booths - plenty of options.
I got myself a caesar and the chicken and goat cheese flatbread with yam fries - for those two it came to $38, which is pretty dang pricey for what I got. But hey, airport food is always on the pricier end.
My server was awesome and just the sweetest lady. She came over to check on me numerous times and not in the annoying, hovering way. She didn't even mind that I took out my laptop and worked there for about 3 hours before I decided it was time to head to my gate.
If you're closer to the "A" terminals, come to Molson Brewhouse.
