  • I love this place. I would fly to Toronto, hop on the LINK train, get off on the last stop, walk the couple steps to the door, and stay there just to get some rest, relaxation and peace. The building is new, modern, and has the pantone scheme as the theme. The lobby is cozy with several places to hang out. I love that. Little corners here and there to just relax. There is also their food/bar area downstairs. The food itself is not that great, but there are options and you could find something somewhat decent. For example, they have hardboiled eggs for $1 each. The bar is small but cozy and they have sports on the TV screens there. The work out room is on the top floor and is small, but functional. It has some basics. Enough to do a good work out if you are not heavily dependent on using machines. For some reason, the colored square decoration in the work out room reminded me of pre-school. That's fine. The hallways are a little dark, but it goes with the mood. From what I know, the 14th floor's theme is green; 10th is blue; 9th is purple; 7th is pink. So if you don't like pink and they give you a room on the 7th floor, request to change before getting there. The rooms themselves are modern. There is a big one and a small one. I was in the small one. Warning though - if you are travelling with a friend and you are not that close with them, having a shower could be a problem - you see, one side of the glass shower looks out into the bedroom. Also, the bathroom door doesn't really shut that well - it is like a swinging closet door. It didn't bother me, but I could see how it might make some people nervous. Especially when they are laying out a #2. The bed was really comfortable. Better than my bed at home. It was hard to get up in the morning. Also, the room was very clean and tidy. The layout was great and there was just the right amount of stuff to put my things on. Also the electric outlet by the bedside table is a blessing for plugging in your phone/alarm clock. The walls are a little thin and I was fortunate to not be around during a busy time. There was one guy in the room next to me about to check out. I know this because I could hear him talking on the phone to someone, pretty much word for word. He was talking about diamonds too. So maybe if you are unfortunate enough to be next to a loud-music-lover-party-animal, you might be upset. And if you are having a private conversation on the phone with someone, keep your voice down. I took 1 star off because the free wifi got really slow before I left. I had to use my phone's hotspot to use the internet. Also because the TV in the gym wasn't working. All in all, I love this place and I don't usually say that about hotels. If only there were a hotel like this in every city so I could have somewhere nice to stay wherever I went. . .
