  • We have never had service of this quality. We were looked at strangely when we came for night drop off. One of the service staff just glared at us as if he were invisible. It was very concerning. The fun doesn't stop there, we were very specific about what service we needed. We were having issues with the transmission and were wondering if the GMC dealership could take a look. We were called and told that our throttle body needed to be replaced. The service adviser, Jean-told me that YES that would fix your issue with your transmission. I pay over $600 for this repair. I want to mention here that, at this point, we are 1 week into moving to Arizona from Maryland. So we already feel out of place and a little vulnerable. So, we pay. The issue still existed. I quickly called Jean back and she asked if I could bring the truck and demonstrate the issue with our service tech. \We arrived. Jean was very nice and had a guy come out to take a ride with me. He didn't say hello or anything, he just looked at me and got into my passenger seat. I was taken aback but the transmission was more important at that time. I told the guy what I had experienced and then I showed him. He said-well, you need a new transmission and that would be $3500. You should trade it in now because they won't be able to notice the transmission issue. I reported this to my husband and he was FURIOUS! He called Jean and wondered exactly what was going on. She referred him to the manager. She said he will be in tomorrow and will call you in the morning. The next day, my husband called since he hadn't heard from him. He was told that the manager would be in late today. To this day, 2 weeks later, we have never heard from anyone at this dealership again. If we needed this part replaced-fine. But don't tell me that this will fix my transmission problem. We are new to the area, but customer service is not only on the west coast. This is why we get our truck serviced at GMC directly-to avoid the run around. Otherwise we would go to any mechanic on the corner. We have never been treated so disrespectfully. This left such a bad taste in our mouth. Customer service was awful, communication was bad and the experience was just poor overall. We will be taking our business elsewhere. I don't recommend getting your service here. I don't recommend purchasing here. I just don't recommend doing any business at Van GMC.
