  • This chain really needs to open up in Hawaii! What's the hold up? Like the gambling fanatics that fly 6 hours from Hawaii to have fun, lose money but hopefully strike it rich, chances are they'll also be hitting up a TJ's for themselves, friends, and family. I have yet to step foot in a TJ's myself, having passed by a few of them but never made it in. Forget the damn Cookie Butter. I'm over it. Plus, you can find similar brands at CVS/Longs stores in Hawaii and they taste the same. My mom was headed to Sin City so I looked to my Facebook friends and posted the question. What else are must try's at TJ's besides the Cookie Butter? I got a few responses to place my order. SNACKS: Baconesque White Cheddar Popcorn - A trusty long-time friend recommend this. She said her mom was mean and brought back only 1 bag. Luckily my mom is nice and brought me back 2 bags lol. And for good reason. Dammit this thing is absolutely DELISH!!!! I was surprised at how fresh and crunchy the popcorn tasted, and was seasoned perfect with a hint of bacon and cheese flavors. Rationing at its extreme is currently going on, and I am NOT sharing that second bag! Partially Popped Popcorn - Another friend recommend this one, which he described as "the stuff that's at the bottom of your popcorn bag." I asked him if that was even edible because the unpopped kernels are super hard. He said yes, so I said right on! I wasn't aware of the available flavors but I received a bag of Butter & Sea Salt, and a bag of Butterscotch & Sea Salt. Popped open one of the bags and was ready to head to the dentist thereafter, or so I thought. They have the texture of Corn Nuts but way softer and easier on the porcelains. The flavor isn't as strong as them but more subtle. Very good! Gluten Free Granola - We got the cranberry maple nut flavor. Tiny concaved cups of corn cereal are filled with brown rice, sunflower, sesame, and flax seeds, along with dried cranberries, almonds and pecans, all laced in a mild maple glaze. Absolutely addicting. Butter Waffle Cookies - Having ordered these in the past I knew they were good. Being that I didn't want my mom to have too much to carry back home I ordered only 1 box. Luckily a flight attendant friend of mine was in Arizona a few days later and sent us a group text asking if we needed anything from TJ's. I ordered 2 more boxes. If you haven't tried these, they taste like waffle cones. Crumbly and crunchy with a buttery vanilla flavor. So oral orgasmic with vanilla ice cream! OVERALL: Cheap, tasty, and so difficultly unobtainable.
