  • I always go to the Queen Hanji for all my cards since I live in the neighbourhood and they make an great impression to whomever I give them to. Usually when I go in, the girls working there are always so nice and positive, always greeting me with a smile. However, yesterday I went in after work to check out their new Christmas cards. The girl at the counter greeted me with a smile, asked me how I was doing, and told me to take my time and reassured me that she was there to help if I needed it, like she always has. I was looking at the cards and there were 3 other people in the back of the store talking, 2 girls and a guy. The guy must be a new employee because I have never seen him there before and he wasn't wearing a coat. He was talking to the girls about how he hates Toronto. I don't know if he was having a bad day, or if he was just trying to relate to the girls, but I did not appriciate overhearing that as a born and bread Torontonian myself. I would suggest going in anytime the girls are working. They are always so positive and helpful and make the atmosphere calm and welcoming. Their cards are beautiful and I will continue to get mine from there. I wanted to write this in case other people have had a similar experience and they were turned off. Don't be. It's a cool little place that is usually really great.
