| - I've passed by this place so many times and just kept on driving. It definitely looks pretty hood, but it always seems to be busy. So, I had to give it a shot.
I love finding little secret ghetto hole in the wall spots and was hoping for a little gem. This was not that place. I'm not going to lie, the fried chicken was pretty good and cheap as well, worth at least 3 stars. That said, there is no seating, its crazy hot inside, and the tea was probably the most overly sweetened thing I've ever tasted. You know a "soul food" place isn't worth going back to if the collard greens and green beans aren't amazing, much less barely edible. On top of that my onion rings tasted like fish. It didn't come through on the chicken, but there is no way they change their oil on a regular basis. Even though it was good, the chicken was a little greasy.
Hate hate hate. Just not my thing, but I'm sure a burger and fries or chicken gyro for under $5 is going to be better than any fast food place.
