  • TL;DR - Vastly overrated. Don't go there. - Service is terrible. Be prepared to wait. Our waitress was nice, but both our drinks and our food, took a LONG time to get to our table. - Silverware (in a rollup, too) wasn't clean. We got a replacement fork from our apologetic waitress, but this is something I'd be okay with at IHOP or Denny's, not from a restaurant that bills itself as somewhat upscale. - Worst of all, both food and drinks are bland and not particularly tasty, and preparation leaves a lot to be desired. The croissant was at least two days old - hard and dry. The quiche (one of the specials) was undercooked. So were the crêpes. Salad had those nasty wilted leaves in abundance. Etc. - Other irritating details: * No sweeteners at the table, only raw sugar packs * Said sugar packs curiously jammed inside a way too small container * Also undersized: comically tiny coffee spoons. Seriously. What the eff. And then there's the whole "no cell phones/laptops" bit, which is apparently enforced according to other reviewers. This only applies inside though, we were sitting outside so they let us (?) play with our toys. I would have been an *extremely* unhappy camper if asked to put away my phone, inside or outside. Here's the thing, La Brioche: before trying to be all quirky and stuff with your decor, silverware, and technophobic policies, how about you get the basics right?
