Stayed here over the Christmas/New Years break. Overall it was a great hotel. The rooms are huge, light and bright, well decorated and comfortable. The bathrooms impressed me as they were designed for men AND women(finally!)! Mirrors were lighted for make-up application, with a nice magnifying mirror as well. Lots of counter space as well as shelves and cubbies for toiletries. Hairdryer was not tied to the wall! Lots of hooks! Hooks inside the bathrooms and by the door!! Wish the bathroom had a fan for noise and other issues!
The bed was comfy and the linens were soft. The in-room thermostat worked well. It was pretty quiet - only noise we heard was the typical hotel self-closing door slams. Fresh water bottles everyday as well as lemon water and another beverage by the elevators.
The restaurant was insanely expensive for breakfast and not vegetarian friendly for any other meals so we headed up Sunset Grill each morning. The major negative is that to walk up to Front street for the subway or train we had to go thru an underpass where several homeless people live and toilet. There was a lot of garbage and it did not feel great to have to walk there. I know it is not the hotels fault but they could notify the city when it gets really filthy, and they should warn guests: I did not let my teenagers walk there alone.
On the good side it is right next to the Convention Center, the CN Tower, The Aquarium, Rogers Center, and the Train Museum. Although we faced the train tracks and our kids faced the highway we heard no noise on the 37th floor.
