  • Things I love about Crocker Park: Saturday morning Farmer's Market, Trader Joes, two book stores, a variety of restaurants, convenient (to me), my gym. Things that I don't love: the Parking, drivers who don't know where they are going, the lack of high-end ladies clothing, no cooking stores like Sur la Table (which was on the original slate of tenants). Since I live only a couple of miles from the lifestyle center, I refer to this as "in the neighborhood". As I mentioned, I wish they would get some high-end ladies clothing. I'm not a fan of the Gap and Banana Republic, and think Ann Taylor and J. Crew are too conservative for my taste. I miss Indigonation, a high-end jeans store that closed a couple of years ago. I am very happy Crocker finally opened a Charming Charlies (cheap and trendy accessories), but at the same time Francesca's opened. I don't see that they will both survive in the Ohio economy. Opening soon will be BCBG and Anthropology -- we are heading in the right direction, so maybe I'll start shopping for clothing at Crocker. Some of my favorite restaurants are there: Aladdin's, Blakes and Brio. Michael Symon will be opening a B-Spot this summer in the Agave location. Hurray!!! I think the only restaurant that did not make it here was Hoggie's, which was only open for about one year when the center first opened. Trader Joes -- love it! If you are going to shop on weekends, get there at 9am when it opens. This is a very small TJs (only 4 aisles) so it becomes a stagnant can of sardines when it gets crowded. I am very impatient and can b-line for what I need because I go there so often and am annoyed with people who stand in the middle of the aisle with their cart looking at every item. Parking can be a challenge on weekends or after work. Since Urban Active is next door to TJs, week nights and Saturday mornings can be a long walk from your car to your destination, particularly in the summer when the Farmer's Market is on. Other parking is in the garage, which are not designed very well, and sparsley at parking meeters. NOTE TO MANAGEMENT: Open another exit at the south end of the Urban Active parking lot with a right-turn only lane. You will eliminate a lot of the gridlock at the south traffic light and the mess in front of Danny Veighs and First Watch.
