  • I'm honestly surprised at all the 5 star reviews. Either everyone else has had way better service than my group did or they don't know how good most other Drybars are. I have been to two other drybar locations and had a great experience. And let me preface this by saying I'm actually quite confident styling my own hair. There's nothing they can do that I can't do myself but it's always nice to relax and have someone else do it for you. So when we came to Vegas for my sister's birthday and I found out about this one I thought it would be a nice treat to get make us all appointments. Upon walking in the first appropriate word that comes to mind is: chaos. We got to our appointment right on time and stood waiting at the front desk for at least 10-15 minutes. At one point I was worried they were going to give us grief for being late but I literally could not get anyone's attention. All the employees were going a mile a minute. At almost 20 minutes past our appointment time we finally got checked in. They told us to help ourselves to the bar and our stylists would grab us when ready. The bar is great and a cool Vegas touch but a bit overpriced. We wanted just a glass of champagne but were told the only sell bottles (which I'm now thinking isn't true) and the cheapest one was $100. I tried to talk my mom out of it but she insisted since it was a special occasion. We got grabbed one by one and could not have been seated farther apart which was a bummer. But at this point we were almost an hour past our appointment so I wasn't going to complain about it. My stylist? Super friendly but didn't really do what I asked for. My hair looked good but it wasn't close to the picture. Also, and this isn't her fault, but her station was the very first one. So not only was I being awkwardly stared at by people checking in but we were right next to the DJ and I had to ask her to repeat herself a few times because I couldn't hear her. I feel like their service wouldn't suffer so much if they weren't so crazy busy. I don't know if it's the fact that they take too many walk-ins or too many appointments. Just know if it's busy, you probably won't get what you pay for. I left feeling like I should have saved some money and done my own hair or searched for a different place. The kicker? The next day I got an email about them charging my card $20 for being a no show to my appointment. I called and luckily the lady didn't argue with me and apologized. Maybe this happens a lot? Either way, proceed with caution.
