  • Lets explain working for a company that is only chasing one thing. $ $ $ $ Basically after being at this facility for a short amount of time I realized a lot. The whole "we care about our members and aren't like other gyms is just a front" First trigger that they pretend to care. The owner throws a party once a year to try and make all the employees feel better about themselves and how much money they make him. They do a raffle and a giveaway and try to make it seem like it's MTV music awards. In reality the party is just a front of the crappy job in which everyone has to endure. The main goal is to please the investors. The top management is completely disconnected from the people who goto the gym. Explaining something to Jeff is like talking to a rock. Here's a tip. Being connected to the gym members, the trainer's clients, and those who work there would actually improve the atmosphere of the club. Their model is based on running through people like cattle and this is some big city gym. In reality this gym is just based in the small town of phoenix and a few other smaller cities. Sooner or later there will be no one left. They set everyone up in a pt contract and preach only selling monthly pt contracts, because that is a better number to show investors instead of a number going up and down. It's common sense. The trainers do their best to help their clients, but lack all compensation for their hard work. Instead the trainers get a $10 gift card for being a trainer for 5 years. Yea, look at that caring gesture. They have had their pay reduced to nothing over the last couple years. But who has had a raise? Gee I wonder. Trainers want to do more for their clients, but the upper management really don't seem to care. Have you ever seen TIM? This man works 60 hours a week for mountainside, and they treat him like he is just another person. Meanwhile you have multiple "non-trainers in the gym", but they are not a priority. Logical. When the company doesn't care about you, it will have a lot of turnover. As for the gym: Everything is packed in. The classes that occur from 12 to 2pm or 5 to 6pm have more priority than the members. The trainers have less priority than the group classes. Therefore if you want to workout at those times this may not be gym for you. If you choose to cancel you have wonderful Michelle there. She will probably put in a note, but not cancel your membership. Maybe it's the two faced makeup? Maybe it's mountainside. In other words look for a better gym in the valley.
