I would give this place 4.5 stars but that's not an option.
Few things you should know. When I first started going here, I asked "When does the kitchen close?" "Christmas!" was the reply. So get your grub on here 24/7. 364 days a year. I've read some comments about the smell when you walk in... It smells like smoke, beer and floor cleaner... Up front. In the dining room, it nice and clean. The bar is partitioned from the restaurant to allow smoking. There is a second entrance to the right if you want to avoid the bar all together.
Now, I won't knit-pick the menu. It's all pretty good taken in perspective. The Stromboli is aces, especially after a few beers. I like to get the chicken nachos at the bar sometimes. You cant complain about the portion size on those nachos. Burgers are pretty good too. Only odd thing is they put red wine in the blue cheese dressing and some servings have a little more wine then others. I'd rather just have plain old blue cheese.
I have literally sat at the bar for several hours with 2 or 3 friends. Eaten, had 3 or 4 drinks a piece and been handed a bill for under $60.00... Beat that.
Okay, here's the hipster deterrent portion of my review. No valet, no PBR (I don't think) no hookah bar, no safe space or trigger warning alert system. Just a decent little local public house that is chill and affordable.
