  • This K-Mart is located less than 5 minutes away from the Robinson Center Wal-Mart. I shop here on a weekly basis. The problem with Wal-Mart is they are always busy, and the place is usually a complete wreck. To top it off, you have to wait in line for 10-15 minutes to check out. This particular K-Mart is up on a hill and somewhat hard to find unless you know where to find it. However, once you find it, you will continue to go back...time and time again. I have made more than 20 visits to this store and each time, I have found it to be clean, orderly, and most important - not crowded at all. They are open 24/7, and while the prices are not as low as Wal-Mart, if you are willing to pay a little more, your shopping experience will be quieter, cleaner, and faster. The one interesting thing about this store is the Pittsburgh Sports section (located right by the main doors as you walk in). You will find Steelers, Pirates, Penguins, and PITT clothing, hats, etc all at very reasonable prices in a wide assortment of sizes. So, if you are looking to escape the "madness" of the modern day Wal-Mart...this K-Mart fits the bill nicely.
