It's nice to see all these local breweries poppin' up around town lately. Sycamore has been on my radar for a while when I rode the light rail into work from the Scaleybark Park & Ride - From the outside, I got to see the construction going on. For the longest time I would see the brewery name "Sycamore Brewing" and just wonder when they were going to open.
I've been a couple times and have been impressed by their selection of brews and really welcoming atmosphere. Their tap room heralds warm wood paneling, concrete floors, and clean lines. No kitchen here, but they have food trucks that pull up to the side of the outdoor patio and the staff can just focus on the beer.
They do a brew run at 12pm on Saturdays which is fun - choose between 1, 3, and 5/6 mile routes and then come enjoy some brews afterward on the patio on a nice day.
Sycamore is just a great addition to the SouthEnd neighborhood. Convenient to the light rail and has a large gravel parking lot so you can come enjoy some local brews!
