I was a walk-in yesterday and was pretty surprised at how busy it was at around 1 p.m. on a Monday. Even so, they took me right away. I picked out a polish and was directed to a chair for my pedicure (I needed a pedicure and nail gel polish). I wasn't sure which chair so the receptionist pointed to a chair towards the back. I put my purse on the arm, took off one flip flop, put my foot in and immediately felt my nerves scream in pain. I yanked my foot out - the water was absolutely scalding. I sat there in pain while the receptionist ran over and tried to cool the water off. It was so hot she couldn't cool it off so she moved me to another chair. I really considered walking out because my foot and lower leg were red, but I was a little bit in shock and was in desperate need of a pedicure. A nail tech came over to do my pedicure and mentioned that my left foot was really ticklish. I was like "yeah, my left foot got scalded when I put it in the water".... she laughed. Not really sure she understood me though. All in all it ended up being a decent pedicure. The thing that makes me take stars off is that after that I wasn't offered any sort of discount or free future pedicure or anything.
