  • It's sad to say but I feel like I grew into an adult here (no not that way). While this location was never the "local" coffee shop in my area, it was the one I frequented the most in my high school to university years. It's where I first upgraded from a hot chocolate to a coffee, black (shaken not stirred). It's where I had my first "business" meeting which lead to the start of a local youth group that is still present in the community. It's where I studied many times trying to run away from the noise and distraction of other people studying. With no real outlets and no Internet, the distractions were minimal. But on the flip side, the people were and are always interesting. Whether it's during the comicon event every summer (when hoards of final fantasy or sailor moon or some new anime lookalikes gather around this tim's) or on a regular day, people from all over the world can be met here, from a Swedish hockey team to an banker interested in buying socks....it's proximity to the airport and the metro convention centre make it a true tossed salad of culture and people all coming together for that good ole Canadian staple, a timmies. And it makes one of the most consistently good hot chocolates ever...
