I'll make my review brief(ish) even though there's so much I could say.
First, it's a huge church, there's no way around that. But, once you experience it, you'll realize that it has a small community-like feel to it because of how many volunteers work tirelessly to greet you, make sure you have a wonderful experience and make you feel you are important.
The services are very good. I actually started attending after I was released from the hospital for suicidal thoughts. After I kissed the ground upon my release, the first thing I remember doing was coming here. I share that because this church literally saved me. The services are very good for new Christians especially because the message is simple and usually very well delivered. I grew up going to church but still come away with something each week.
I want to share a couple quick things beyond the obvious:
1. The neighborhood groups are a good way to get plugged in to your community and fellowship with other Christians where you live.
2. The Stars sports program is wonderful. I volunteer to coach soccer and it's been a great bonding experience for me and my son.
3. Life Training is offered on Monday nights and it's also fantastic for new believers to learn about basic Christian principles and the teachers and guest speakers are genuine. The best part for me is the 'breakout sessions' afterwards that allow you to get together in small groups based on an identifying factor (ie: spiritual growth, divorce, substance abuse, sexual addiction etc.) and connect with others who might be going through similar life circumstances. It keeps me accountable.
4. It's great for the kids! I have volunteered a couple of times in the kid's services and they are engaging and fun for them. Not to mention they take away important life lessons.
What else can I say? Go! The experience you'll have is exactly what you choose to make of it.
