  • Winco is employee owned and their prices are excellent. They have a massive selection of bulk foods, as well as a decent selection of organic produce. I have no problem finding almost all the high end baking ingredients I need for special occasions including Christmas, and I bake it all from scratch. Bill, the checkout clerk, clearly enjoys his job and greets everyone politely and with a friendly smile. The employees are helpful and the only 'complaint' I'd say I have is that they no longer carry any inexpensive brands of whole wheat bagels. However the lady in the bakery told me that if I call a day ahead she will make me as many as I want and put them aside for me. That's some good customer service!!! Yes you have to bag your own groceries but it's totally worth it!! And did I mention they are open 24 hours?!
