| - I visited the store twice before I pulled the trigger on a gorgeous sofa, chair, and ottoman. I ordered it in ivory because the salesman said he'd had the very same set for years and that it was still in perfect shape. He said it was not only dirt resistant, but very durable. Also, I sprung for the warranty after he said that if any marks showed up on the upholstery, they would take care of it.
When the furniture arrived, all was great except the ottoman is a completely different fabric quality. What's supposed to be a sturdy linen/tweed fabric was more like a thin cotton. It had/has zero durability. When it arrived it already looked old and worn out.
I called right away. They sent out a gentleman three weeks later who said, yep, looks pretty bad. In fact, by the time he got there three weeks later, the sofa and chair were already starting to look worn out too. Not just dirt - the cushions are lumpy and the fabric was already pilling and wearing after just three weeks.
Again, the gentleman said it didn't look right to him and that he would speak to the owner. Nothing ever happened. I called three times. Nothing. I finally went into the store in person and spoke with the original salesman, who was nice and said he would speak to someone and have them call me the next day. No call. I called a few days later and he said whoops, someone will call you tomorrow. Never happened.
Finally the owner took my call and was frankly rude.
He sent the same gentleman back out to look at my furniture who again said, yep this looks terrible. The quality on this furniture is horrendous. I'm a shoes-off, very clean household, and mop every day and have had white furniture before without a problem.
This isn't just color and a bit of dirt, this is fabric quality. The gentleman said he'd speak with the owner and get back to me straight away.
We settled on me asking for professional cleaning, I'd arrange to have the furniture scotch-guarded (it wasn't, despite Dante telling me this thing is dirt resistant and durable), and I requested a replacement ottoman. He apologized and said he'd ask someone to get back to me right away.
It's been TEN days. Nothing. Never, ever, ever will I shop here again. This is not just terrible furniture quality (I'm actually embarrassed by my furniture now that's only 5 months old) this customer service is terrible. The ottoman is ready for Goodwill, though I doubt anyone would want it.
I should also mention that when I told the technician that the salesman said it was dirt resistant and of sturdy quality to last ten years, the tech said, "Well he's trying to sell you something. What did you expect him to say."
