I took the all-day concealed carry class at Select Fire a few months ago. I would have given this more stars, because most of the class was highly relevant and useful. We got a decent amount of range time as part of the class and the primary instructor was very knowledgable.
However, one thing REALLY bothered me. They gave up two hours (in an eight hour class) for some guy to come in and try to get everyone to sign up for an MLM scheme where you pay a ridiculous amount of money to have a lawyer on retainer (but not really). It was under the guise of "talking about the legal aspects" but it was clearly just a two-hour ad. The class included a really awesome cop who talked about legal aspects. This other guy was obviously just there to make money off of us and it felt really sleazy. We could have spent those two hours shooting.
I hope Select Fire reads this and reconsiders letting people turn their CCW classes into a walking infomercial for someone's money-making scheme.
