| - I'll first say, I'm not a magic show kind of person, but we were in Vegas with a 10 and 12 year old - seemed like a good idea. I don't follow Criss Angel and knew very little about him.
The good.... There were a few good magic tricks. As other reviewers have said, many were standard tricks that even I've seen before. But, it was entertaining with dancing and theatrics, albeit distracting from the magic. My kids enjoyed the show though. And, since it wasn't nearly a full theater, they moved us up to great seats. :)
The bad.... His sidekicks, that were meant to be an amusing diversion, were annoying. Not very funny at all. Came across as amateurish.
The ugly.... Watching him come on to (or pretend to come on to?) every female audience "helper" was uncomfortable at best. He really seemed sleazy. Asked one woman to stand sideways so he could appreciate her ample bust. Ummmm.... what? And, he spit when he walked out onto the stage. Dude. You're a 48 year old man. Not an 18 year old boy in a heavy metal band. Crass is an understatement.
Overall, some good tricks. And, I walked away thinking he's a creepy misogynist. Three stars because the kids liked the show. ;)
