I went to Cilantro for the first time last week. I was so glad I finally checked this restaurant out - I had a delicious meal! We sat in the upper level and found the place so cozy. I love that I can watch the chefs prepare my food from scratch; I was observing all the fresh ingredients that were putting in my meal. The pizza oven is adorable too!
For my appetizer I had the goat cheese. It came with Crostini, arugula, sliced pickled onions and a delicious spiced pistachio sauce. It was delicious, best comfort food ever.
For my main I had the seafood pasta (cannot remember what it was called though) - with prawn, lobster, giant scallops and a lemon sauce. Soooo good. I couldn't finish it all, as it's rich, so I took some home and ate it later that night.
The meal was very filling and prepared well. My friend had a BLT on pesto flatbread with arugula and really enjoyed it as well. Meal with a glass of wine came to about $75. A bit on the pricier side, but for the fresh ingredients, the preparation and the ambiance - it's about on par with any other similar restaurant in the downtown/beltline. Our server was attentive and gave me the recommendation for the lobster pasta, which I was definitely glad I picked. I'll definitely come back - if even for the goat cheese! I'm drooling thinking about it right now!
